home about us forum iracing raceroom rfactor 2 assetto corsa youtube live races virtual race car engineer welcome to dsc racing simulation centre more » simtechracing new pedal review more » 0 simtechracing new pedal set review. august 23, 2018 simtechracing reviews new pedal set from simtechracing.co.uk first off there was a small delay in receiving them due to a failure in the casing not being able to withstand the brake pressure… ya gotta be kidding, someone got an elephant foot or what!! anyway its now been rectified , but this is not a bad thing just means they like to insure all is right and working before i got my dirty hands on them! secondly this set of pedals is not the final build,well it is but been told they want to add a cover and re route the cabling through the casing and i should receive these soon, it is fairly simple replacement and a cover to go on top, so even i can sort that out myself…one thinks!!. they are of course ready to pre-order now and will be shipped with the new parts but the layout wont change now and if they do it be for the better if that’s at all possible, as now feel these are at there peak and run really well. so on with my thoughts and feelings on the long awaited pedal set and what the specs are, i wont dribble on with the ins and outs and it would most likely just confuse many like myself but anyway lets get cracking… over my head moment cermet potentionmeters. pressure transducers. adjustable brake feel via polymer springs. ( range 1600 psi 190kg brake pressure) adjustable brake bite range. opb cnc aluminium 3 pedal set fully adjustable. (2 pedal set coming soon) cnc 3mm black powder coated frame. ethernet connection. (direct connect to the simtechracing osw simicube unit, usb adaptor sold separately.) price time of review is £650.00 so that’s the main details of the pedal set and i would like to say that like always simtechracing didnt cut corners when it comes to there components,they look and feel brilliant. now down to business so how does this pedal set compare to say my previous pedals heusinkveld pro’s and fanatec v3 , well firstly the heusinkveld pro’s are a nice bit of kit for the price range, don’t get me wrong there, i’ve had a set and know first hand. so what about if you wanted a set of these, are they more expensive?..nope in fact there around the same price or less depending on where you are of course but why would i want these over any other competitors, well firstly without sounding too bias but simtechracing.co.uk are a very well known trust worthy uk company that only sell quality products, they never have had faults or a return in the many years they have been running, customer support is key and incredible and always willing to help as much as they can and wont stop helping even past the warranty period. the price i feel is well within most’s budget who are after a set like these they try and be competitive and bring the more luxury sim gear at a more affordable price. so whats the pedals feel like then you ask?
